STANDARD LOADS INC.

PROFILE:

  • Is a Standardized Resistive Load Design Company

  • Has developed the world’s first Standard Line of multi-functional Resistive Load Banks.

CURRENT PRODUCTS:

  • The Standard Line has fourteen models from twenty to five hundred watts (PL20, PL50, PL100, PL200, PL400, PL500)

FUTURE PRODUCTS:

  • Development of the PL420, PL440, PL800, and PL1000 Series; non-Inductive versions of the PL20, PL50, PL100, PL200, PL400, PL500, PL800 and PL1000; Load range 1 KW to 5KW; Load range 5Kw to 10KW.

NUMBER OF PRODUCTS:

  • Matured Load Line will have about 100 different models.

WHY ARE THE LOAD BANKS UNIQUE:

  • The series is based on switched resistors in parallel, which not only provides simplicity and ease of use, but a tremendous capacity to withstand high overloads and abuse. The parallel resistor topology allows for fine adjustments of the load current/resistance by utilizing the higher resistor values in parallel with lower ones, thus fine incremental steps are achieved without high cost and complexities.

IN SUMMARY OUR ADVANTAGE S ARE:

  • No other line of AC/DC Resistive Load Banks are in the global market place

  • Our Loads will be 50% cheaper than electronic Loads

  • Loads can withstand high overloads without damage to the Load

  • Fine incremental steps are achieved without high cost and complexities

  • The loads will not interact in any way with the connected power source

  • All loads can be just “plugged-in” any where in the world with out any type of electrical adaptor.

EXAMPLES OF THE MAJOR MARKET SEGMENTS:

  • A total of 130 different market segments have been identified including:

  • International Electronic Distributors

  • Military (Airforce, Army, Navy), Homeland Security/Homeland Defense

  • Defense Contractors

  • Space Industry

  • International electronics/electrical companies

ADVANTAGES OVER ACTIVE LOADS:

  • Much lower cost

  • Multiple input versions available

  • Can handle AC & DC and any RMS voltage waveform

  • No feedback circuitry – no interaction with unit under test

  • No calibration, tuning, adjustments or maintenance required

  • No active circuitry – high reliability

  • Very high overload specs.

  • Can be run without AC power for short periods (PL20, PL50 & PL100 series do not require AC power)

  • Extremely wide voltage ranges

  • Simple to use

  • Loads can be paralleled and/or seriesed for increased power and flexibility.

DISTRIBUTORS:

  • In a survey of 55 North American Distributors, 53 wanted Product Information as soon as it is available. (the other two distributors were exclusive to parts). Of the 53 Distributors 37 were in the United States and 16 in Canada.

NUMBER OF DISTRIBUTORS:

  • In North America there are an additional 550 Distributors and 500 foreign Distributors to be contacted.

MANUFACTURERS REPRESENTATIVES:

  • In the United States there are three Representatives ready to sign-up in the areas of upper New York State, New England, Mid-West. A complete North American Rep Network will be established.

MANUFACTURING:

  • Outsource to a partner whose manufacturing facilities have ISO Quality Assurance Programs and world safety approvals such as CSA, UL, VDE, etc.

CUSTOMERS:

  • Underwriters Laboratories (UL), University of Western Ontario, Manitoba Hydro, Burke Products, Control Technology, March Networks and Walgreens, even though these products have yet to be introduced to the Marketplace.

MARKET VALUES

STANDARD LOADS INC.:

A leading United States Market Value Research Company when contacted stated there has never been a study done on the market value of Electronic Loads and when asked about Resistive Loads they had not heard about such a product. The midwest Representative company (who Rep Electronic Loads) stated that the major Electronic Load companies tend to have matured yearly sales in the range of $50 million (USD) per year.

In 2005 one Lockheed Martin plant purchased $1 million (USD) in Electronic Loads.
