TRUPOWER INC.

PROFILE:

  • Is a Standardized Power Supply Design Company

  • Has developed a line of Linear and Lab Power Supplies.

CURRENT PRODUCTS:

  • CARDFLEX is a power converter module for OEM applications. It is a board level or cabinet mountable power module for powering DC circuits such as computers and telecom boards.

  • WATTFLEX is a constant power unregulated power supply for end-user applications, both bench-top and rack-mount for applications where tight regulation is not required.

  • LABFLEX is a burn-in and test power supply for end-user applications providing very low noise and an accurate lab/burn-in supply which allows current to increase as the voltage decreases.

FUTURE PRODUCTS:

  • AMPFLEX is a digital amplifier to power a “DAC” (Digital to analog converter). This product is the future since smaller and smaller computing and telecom portable products are being designed.

  • VOLTFLEX is AC – DC power supplies for OEM applications, for use in other manufacturer’s equipment, using an AC power input.

  • TESTFLEX is the first true constant power lab bench top digitally adjustable power supply.

WHY ARE THE POWER SUPPLIES UNIQUE:

  • Low Noise/High Efficiency/Fast Transient Response – TRUPOWER’S new linear power supplies have the efficiency of a “switch-mode” and the ultra-low noise and ultra-fast transient response characteristics of a “linear” power supply.

  • Constant Power Availability – Raises the output current as the voltage falls, yielding a constant maximum available power curve.

IN SUMMARY OUR ADVANTAGES ARE:

Cardflex Advantages:

  • low noise – (10 to 20 times better than competition)

  • wide range adjustability

  • cost – anticipated to be 30% less than competitors (Cardflex uses less parts, less labor)

Wattflex Advantages:

  • very economical when compared to regulated power supplies or “in-house” built units.

  • has power for virtually every application covering most voltages and currents.

  • will not interact in any way with the loads connected to it.

  • reduces customer inventory by doing the job of many different units.

Labflex Advantages:

  • cost – anticipated to be 30 to 50% less than competitors solutions

  • smaller size

  • technology is easily adaptable to other power and voltage ranges

  • contains features not available in any other supply

  • reduces customer inventory by doing the job of many different units

DISTRIBUTORS:

  • In a survey of 55 North American Distributors, 53 wanted Product Information as soon as it is available. (the other two distributors were exclusive to parts). Of the 53 Distributors 37 were in the United States and 16 in Canada.

NUMBER OF DISTRIBUTORS:

  • In North America there are an additional 550 Distributors and 500 foreign Distributors to be contacted.

MANUFACTURERS REPRESENTATIVES:

  • A complete North American Rep Network will be established. Mid-West (USA) Rep. is excited about the Cardflex Line and stated that not many companies do Linear Power Supplies.

MANUFACTURING:

  • The majority of products will be outsourced to a partner whose Manufacturing facilities have ISO Quality Assurance programs and world Safety Approvals such as CSA, UL, VDE, etc. The lab Power Supplies will be produced in Canada as unregulated for the North American Marketplace.

A TEST PRESS RELEASE ON CARDFLEX:

  • Resulted in numerous inquiries including; Anixter, Transcat, Cole Parmer, Power Box, (all distributors), Maritime Utility & Ind. Sales, Testech (both Reps), Raytheon, John Hopkins University, Orion Bus, US Government DOD Hawk & Patriot, Harris Corp., etc.
